World of Golf Village and TPC Sawgrass join forces for Women's Golf Week.

In a unique collaboration, the “Official Golf Courses of the World Golf Hall of Fame” at World Golf Village and TPC Sawgrass are joining forces for the benefit of women’s golf. Both venues will host American Express ‘Women’s Golf Week’ activities Saturday, June 2 through Saturday, June 9 featuring a variety of events open to women on the First Coast. The week-long event, now in its third year, is a precedent-setting collaboration of the top U.S. golf organizations aimed at increasing the participation of women in golf.
“Women’s Golf Week is a prime opportunity for women to come out to the golf course, enjoy the game and a variety of fun events catered specifically for them,” commented Cathy Harbin, General Manager of the Slammer & Squire and King & Bear courses at World Golf Village. “It’s a perfect collaboration for our courses to team with TPC Sawgrass on this event, maximizing the impact of Women’s Golf Week on the First Coast.”
“This is an exciting week for TPC Sawgrass as we embrace this very important initiative of growing the game of golf for women across the nation,” commented Bill Hughes, General Manager of TPC Sawgrass.
Women’s Golf Week provides various opportunities for women to participate in free golf clinics, enjoy discounted golf, hear from World Golf Hall of Fame members Carol Mann and Louise Suggs and network with other women from the area. Both World Golf Village and TPC Sawgrass will offer ample activities throughout the week, including a greens fee of only $40 (plus taxes and fees) for women on Slammer & Squire.
