Morocco
The famous cities of Marrakesh, Fes and Meknes are known as the imperial cities. Within them you will find wonderful bazaars selling anything from fabric to sweetmeats or candy, to leather goods.
These cities are also home to the palaces, and the hustle and bustle of the town squares where people gather to talk and spend the evening. The atmosphere is old world and the city and night life are modern day.
The mixture is undeniably appealing to those who visit the cities of Morocco. Within Morocco are some of the best kept buildings left to us from the medieval times, as well as ruins and museums that show us how life went along in another time.
The past isn’t all however that Morocco or its famed cities have to offer to those who select a trip to Morocco for their time away.
Morocco is also home to and famous for some of the most beautiful beaches the world has to offer. The beaches can be found in the seaside towns of Essaouira, Tangier and Asilah.
The natural beauty that Morocco holds is undeniable. From your Morroco hotel room you can rent a camel and take a guided trip through the Sahara. You can climb the highest peaks of north Africa or instead of a Morocco hotel, spend a night or two in one of the traditional Kashah’s that are rented out in the Dades Valley.
Marrakech, or Marrakesh as the westerners spell it, is “THE” imperial city of Morocco. It is large, rich and diverse in its history and remarkably beautiful.
No visit to Morocco could be complete without a visit to Marrakech and the sights it offers are amazing. The Central Square of the city, called Djemma el Fna, the tombs, Saadian, as well as the Marjorelle Gardens and the fantastic bazaars are something that you must see on your trip to Morocco, if for no other reason than to say you were there.
The most complete city left in the world to show us medieval life is Fes, which holds an amazing appeal to those who are history buffs. The city holds a unique and mysterious feel as new meets old in one small area.
A visit to Morocco holds the mystery and appeal that we would expect and wish for in a vacation in Arabia.
