Nevada State
The very things that make it less popular to live, are what make it one of the most interesting sportsmans playground.Las Vegas included, where you can challenge yourself to a game at the tables or a swim in the opulent pools of some of the finest hotels in the world. The outside is just as opulent in fact.
The area has long ridges of mountains, intersected by wide basins of flat land, quite often with dry lakes or salt flats and all of the rivers in Nevada run inward, and when they evaporate or run under ground like the million gallons that came before, it leaves the area somewhat inhospitable.
To the north you will see deserts, many of them used for racing, or breaking land speed records such as the Black Rock Desert, a challenge to hike, and a challenge to hunt. The Black Rock is a large open area, that although it seems dead, is in fact teeming with life.
The corner opposite it holds the Mojave Desert, which will boast temperatures ovre 100 degrees for several months out of each year.
Sportsmen in Nevada take part in fishing, hunting, both big and small game, including mule deer, Rocky Mountain elk, three types of bighorn sheep, pronghorn antelope, and mountain goat, as well as mountain lions.
Small game include partridge, quail, ruffed grouse, dove, and the Himalayan snowcock are popular upland game, or hunters may choose to hunt waterfowl or certain migratory birds.
